About Us

Our Story

Tarragon Eats is a small food business based in Burnaby, BC selling plant-based and gluten-friendly prepared foods reminiscent of home-cooked meals that are delicious, nutritious, and prepared with the same quality and care as home-cooked meals. Our small business started in January 2023 out of our home, and in June, we moved to a commissary kitchen in Burnaby and started selling our products at local farmers markets.

The products behind Tarragon Eats originated from the challenges our family had with finding or making food that catered to various dietary restrictions and preferences (celiac disease, lactose intolerance, plant-based diet), and that was suitable for gatherings, and most important of all, delicious!

From what seemed like an impossible situation, the original Harvest Roast was created.

After bringing the Harvest Roast to many parties and get-togethers it became a crowd-pleaser (including our non-plant-based friends and family members). We were encouraged by the positive feedback and in July 2023, we started selling the Harvest Roast and Mom’s Mushroom Gravy at the Burnaby Farmer’s Market.

We have been encouraged by the positive feedback on our first two products and are planning on introducing new plant-based and gluten-friendly products in the near future. Stay tuned and follow us on our journey!

Our Mission

Our mission is to prepare high quality, flavourful, and minimally processed plant-based food products that cater towards a variety of dietary preferences and restrictions. Our products draw from the flavours of various cuisines and are vegetable-forward and include a variety of herbs and spices.
